How to Apply GST on GST Group (For Regular Taxpayer) in Chanakya ERP

Apply Applicable GST Rate

  • Click on Applicable GST settings in Tools Menu to open Applicable GST settings option (as shown in below image)


  • Click on W.E.F (With effect From) column to Select date of GST rate slab, from when it is applicable. (Normally GST is applicable from 01-July-2017)
  • Select on GST Tax Group (which was created in GST Group) to apply GST % rate.(as shown in below image)

  • If any Cess Applied on selected Tax group, you can Enter Cess Rate (as shown in below image)

  • Click on Apply/Update button to Apply GST/Cess % on selected Tax group
  • Similarly you can Apply GST/Cess % on all created Tax group, selecting one by one Tax Group and applying GST/Cess % and Update it.

Modify/Update Applicable GST

  • Click on Applicable GST settings in Tools Menu to open Applicable GST settings option as shown in below image

  • If any change in GST Slab rate by Government side, you can also Update according to Government Norms
  • Select the date W.E.F (With Effect from), change the applicable date from when the new GST rate is to applied (as shown in below Image)

  • Select on GST Tax Group (which was created in GST Group) to Update GST % rate.(as shown in below image)

  • Click on Update button to apply GST/Cess % on selected Tax group
  • Similarly you can Update GST/Cess % on all created Tax group, selecting one by one Tax Group and applying GST/Cess % and Update it.

Import of Applicable GST Rate

  • Click on Import button to open “Import applicable GST” (as shown in below image)

  • Select W.E.F (With Effect From) Date, as shown in below image
  • Import applicable GST rate Directly by "Copy and Paste" option Through Excel (As shown in below image)

  • Click on Save button to validate the records and Final Save and Import in "Applicable GST Settings"
